An exciting opportunity to paint in this beautiful location and also to contribute to the support the of Homestead 1839. Art Auction at 3 pm.

About the event

Painters will visit Homestead 1839 to paint en plein air between 8 am and 2 pm and will have the chance to auction off their work in a fundraising Art Auction at 3 pm. Earlier paint times available by request. 

Works should be framed and hung by 2 pm. 

A donation of at least 30% is requested for art sales. 

Homestead 1839’s mission is “Growing community capacity through service learning and food security for sustainable, equitable outcomes.”  For close to 10 years, the Homestead has been growing and distributing fresh produce to those most in need, donating thousands of pounds of organically grown fresh produce to local food banks.  Further the Homestead provides service learning opportunities for all people seeking a meaningful volunteer experience. The Homestead also provides educational STEAM (science, technology,engineering, art and math) opportunities at low to no cost for community members of all ages and with a focus on youth experiencing barriers.
